3D Object Detection and Tracking with the RST Research Car

The vehicle is equipped with a 3D lidar sensor,which perceives the 360° environment with a resolution of more than one million sampled 3D points per second. The resulting point cloud is used for 3D detection and tracking of other vehicles. The focus is on real-time algorithms to retrieve representations of the environment online onboard the vehicle.
